Questions
The things people ask before they email
Straight answers about cost, timing, and how we work.
It depends on the scope, so we quote per project rather than publish rates that wouldn't apply to your situation.
- The first consultation is free
- One-time builds get a fixed price, not hourly billing
- Continuing work like social or IT support is billed monthly at an agreed rate
- Deliverables and dates are written down before we start
- The price changes only if you change the scope
A simple build costs less than complex custom software. We'll tell you which one you're asking for.
You'll get a real timeline on the first call, once we know the scope. A build usually moves through discovery, development, testing with your feedback, then launch and training.
Continuing services — social media, IT support, marketing — run month to month with deliverables on a set schedule.
We don't shorten estimates to win the job. If it's eight weeks, we say eight weeks in the proposal rather than two weeks and an apology later.
Yes. Updating an existing site, fixing a setup that's half-configured, adding tools to what's running, building onto current systems — all normal work for us.
Rebuilding from scratch is sometimes the right call and often isn't. We'll say which we think it is.
We're based in Columbus, Ohio. Anything on site — photography, installs, hardware, in-person training — happens across Columbus and the surrounding area, and we'll travel further for the right project.
Everything else works anywhere. Websites, design, custom software, and system setup get done remotely, with consultations over video and files delivered electronically. Plenty of our clients we've never stood in the same room as.
Just be ready to talk about your business and what you're trying to accomplish. We'll take it from there.
Existing logos, photos, or system logins are useful if you have them. If you don't, we'll create what's missing or help you get access.
Your business changes and your tools should keep up. We're available for updates, new features, and modifications after launch.
One-off changes get quoted individually. If you expect to need us regularly, say so early and we'll plan the work into a monthly schedule.
Because you'll talk to the person writing the code.
- No middle layer. No account manager relaying your question to someone else
- Sized for you. We work with small businesses all day and scope for that budget, not an enterprise one
- Actual code. Written for your requirements and how your team already works
- Solved, not upsold. We're not compensated for adding features you don't need
- Honest answers. If your idea has a problem or there's a cheaper route, you'll hear it
- Fast turns. Changing direction takes a conversation, not an approval chain
